Stepping Outside the Box

I think we need to step outside the box from time to time and try new ways of showing our stuff differently.  After all, folks like Nick Brandt do it every day.

So, when we have a shot with colors not to our liking, maybe what we need to do is try something bold and different.

You gotta look at the larger photo to appreciate the result.

Tones were matched with the light on the waves.

Different, experimental, but something I think we should consider doing.

    Hiya Bill,

    I agree with the approach. I like the image but would love to see a hint more contrast and light definition in that brooding sea, it looks a little ‘heavy’ but not for the right reasons.

    Brilliant to see you taking an important side step here, seriously!

    I think the image is perfect as-is. There is so much happening in the scene and I feel the color complements the mood of the photograph perfectly.
